Loaves screened Friday, April 26 and Sunday, April 28 in the Fort Myers Beach Film Festival in Fort Myers Beach, Florida. While both screenings were a success, Sunday's screening was particularly exciting, as Loaves played to a nearly full theater with an overly enthusiastic audience. Loud laughter and applause were abundant.
During the Q & A session after both screenings, the acting and music received tremendous praise. Audience members felt compelled to approach me after the screenings to let me know how much they enjoyed LOAVES, with some noting that LOAVES was the "best independent film they had ever seen."
The Fort Myers Beach Film Festival was a wonderful experience both for LOAVES and me personally. I met several talented filmmakers, and the town of Fort Myers Beach and the festival staff were extremely pleasant and professional.
I would like to thank those who have and continue to support LOAVES, in particular, Maw & Paw Keenan, and I would like to give a special nod to those who physically came to support LOAVES in Florida... Steve Pilapil, Sondi Kroeger-Foley, Juanita Troyer, Eric Patterson, and Rich Smith's mom, Lee.
Despite our limited budget and cast of unknowns, we once again proved that LOAVES is an entertaining film worthy of a wide audience... let the good fight continue!
