Trail End Composers

CATHLEEN WONG - Composer Cathleen Wong is from Long Beach, California and a graduate of USC. She holds a Bachelors in Flute Performance and a Masters in Music Jazz Studies. During her studies at USC, Cathleen received the prestigious Jazz Departmental Award. Cathleen performs professionally as a flutist and, with her writing partner Derek Alan Jones, composes musical scores for films, including the short film Trail End. In addition to her composing career, Cathleen also has a teaching career. She taught woodwinds at Los Angeles Harbor College and Marymount Palos Verdes, and is currently teaching World Music and Art Appreciation Through Music at Webster. Cathleen’s next project is with Derek composing the score for Alan Swyer’s documentary A Spiritual Revolution.	DEREK ALAN JONES - Composer / Re-recording Mixer Massachusetts native Derek Alan Jones is a musician, producer, composer, sound engineer, sound editor and workaholic. In essence, he makes people sound good! Derek is founder and owner of Divine Inspiration Music Company and is the Sound Engineer for Megatrax, a recording studio in North Hollywood. CDs Derek has made for Megatrax include, MX189 Classic Rock Vol. 1 & 2, MX187 Urban Promo Vol. 2, MX178 You Asked For It!, MX177 Modern Rock Vol. 7, MX141 Hiphop ChopShop Vol 1-3, MX159 Urban Promo, SN001 Latin Club, SN002 Latin Street, SN007 Reggaeton, TS001 Breakbeat, and TS002 Trance. Derek has worked on albums for major label artists like David Hollister, DJ Quik, Won-G, Javier, Stacie Orrico, The Apex Theory, the jazz group Shapes, and Michael Franks to name a few. He has also done recording and mixing for most of the TV Networks (ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox, WB, UPN) and some of the bigger Clear Channel radio stations around the country as well as several indie artists. Derek’s film work includes, Spiritual Revolution, Waiting For Yvette, Itty Bitty Titty Committee, Trail End, Broken Circle, Out At The Wedding, and Belly. He is currently working on three more films.
